Line Art

step 1. Rough Sketch.

roughly sketch your picture out.. the good size to work on your CGs should be at least 2 times the size you want the finish work to be. I prefer doing the sketch in Painter than in photoshop cuz the tools are more natural than Photoshop.. Save your file, open Photoshop (or if you already are working in Photoshop)

step 2: Make Blue

In Photoshop (you can also do this in Painter, but I always use photoshop for this) turn your sketch to blue sketch.

above is the result from step 2.

Step 3. ReWork the Sketch

Go back in Painter and redraw your picture, finalize the line works. This step is what I call "Digital Inking" ( ¯<>¯ )//

Get the line as clean as possible, if not, that's okay,

Step 4. Get Rid of Blue

go back in photoshop, click on Channels tab, select Blue Channel. You'll see that the blue line have disappeared.

Push Ctrl+A to select All, Ctrl+C to copy, then lick on RGB Channel, Ctrl+V to paste, and Ctrl+Shift+E to flatten layer.

above is the result from step 4, I'm not sure why I went and open it in Painter and screen capt. from there. Don't get confused (^_^;)]

Step 5.

This step isn't necessary, but it's something I like to do sometimes for my CGs

Ctrl+U to call up Hue/Saturation, Check on Colorize, sometimes this will do for you automatically.

FINISH :)
